Evelyn Hone College of Applied Arts and Commerce is the largest Technical Education and Vocational Training (TEVET) Institutions under the Ministry of Higher Education. Since its inception in 1963, the institution continues to offer world class training in Business Studies, Health Sciences and Applied Arts.
As part of its transformation process into an Institute of Technology, the institution is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the following position:
ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT X 02
Key Responsibilities
- Undertakes timely the receipt and recording of revenue in order to enhance accountability
- Undertakes effectively the processing of payments in order to meet the college’s obligations
- Undertakes effectively the banking of revenue in order to safeguard college funds
- Undertakes effectively and timely the preparation and storage of accounting records in order to facilitate retrieval
- Undertakes effectively and timely the security of accountable documents in order to prevent unauthorized access and destruction
Qualifications
- Full Form 5/ Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent
- Diploma in accountancy and/or equivalent
- At least two years working experience
- Report writing skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- Computer literacy (word, excel, power point packages)
Attributes
- Must exhibit high levels of Integrity and initiative
- High levels of confidentiality
- Proven knowledge of accounting packages, in particular Pastel Evolution
- A high level of Communication skills (both written and oral)
- Good Interpersonal skills
