Lusaka Legacy Hilltop Treat Conference Centre is a faith-based, Christian Organisation.

We are looking for a suitable candidate for the position of Purchasing Officer

Purchasing Officer will be responsible for:

  • Implementing sound purchasing policies, systems, and procedures in accordance with the Company standards.
  • Monitor vendors quality, service, and price through standard purchasing specifications
  • A minimum of three independent genuine quotations must be obtained
  • Obtain competitive quotations for the Lodge requirements and ensure that the best product is sourced and purchased.
  • Establish contracts to ensure reduced pricing for all operating areas of the Lodge.
  • Receives the market list from the Head Chef on a daily basis and arranges for delivery of those items daily.
  • Ensures and verifies that quotations are regularly updated and suppliers’ new current lists are maintained.
  • Obtains written approval for established Minimum/Maximum stock levels by the Financial controller and the General Manager.
  • Issue regularly the slow-moving items lists.
  • Spot checks storeroom requests if properly maintained, verifies quantity requested and issued, proper items received and signatories.
  • Works with the accounts department to follow up on invoices.

Academic and Professional Requirements:

  • Full Grade 12 certificate.
  • Diploma in Purchasing and Supply Management
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, MS word and other MS packages
  • Familiar with Materials Management System (MMS)
  • Familiar with Inventory Management Software
  • Work Experience in the Hotel environment is an added advantage
  • Holder of a valid driving license
