Details of Goldenlay Agri. Ltd Vacancy Positions & How to Apply.

Goldenlay is the largest producer, supplier, distributor of table eggs in Zambia with a fully automated facility, boasting a brand familiar to retailers and consumers alike, with significant market share and the capacity to service existing and potential markets in and around the region. Goldenlay is hereby inviting applications from suitable qualified candidates to fill the position of FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT. The role will report to the Financial Controller.

Some of the tasks for this position include the following:

  • Maintaining all Sales Reports on a daily, weekly, monthly basis
  • Reviewing Sales Report data for accuracy and reasonability
  • Compiling of weekly Sales Report Pack to Management
  • Handling Sales integration between Sales module and the Accounting system
  • Preparation of Customer Account reconciliations
  • Assisting with Customer and Retailer accounts and follow up of unpaid invoices
  • Assisting with monthly stock counts and stock reconciliations
  • Preparation of Balance Sheet General Ledger reconciliations
  • Assisting with preparation of monthly Management Accounts
  • Assisting with any company tax and/or statutory return submissions
  • Handling year-end audit queries from Auditors
  • Reconciliation of any Intercompany Customer, Supplier & Loan Accounts
  • Any other ad hoc tasks

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES:

  • Must be computer literate with advanced skills in M/S Applications i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Good administration and typing skills
  • Ability to apply initiative, good judgment and creative thinking
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • High degree of accuracy
  • Excellent Interpersonal Communications skills
  • Able to work in a multi-cultural environment
  • Flexibility
  • Must be able to work under pressure and be deadline driven

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:

  • Must have a minimum of a B. ACCOUNTING or equivalent degree
  • At least 3 years work experience as a Financial Accountant in a fast-moving consumer goods environment
  • SAGE experience will be advantageous
  • Web-based Point-of-Sale Software experience will be advantageous
