THE MINISTRY OF GENERAL EDUCATION (MOGE) WILL CONDUCT OPEN INTERVIEWS FOR PRE-SERVICE TEACHER TRAINING FOR THE 2019 INTAKE FROM 21ST – 24TH AUGUST 2018 AT THE FOLLOWING COLLEGES:
EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION (ECE) TEACHING (ECE Diploma – 3 years)

REQUIREMENTS
AGE:
Applicants should not be less than seventeen (17) years and not more than thirty five (35) years old by January 2019.
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS:
(i) EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION TEACHING:
A FULL Grade Twelve School Cerlificale or GCE Wilh al leasl 5 Credits including English.
(ii) PRIMARY SCHOOL TEACHING
A FULL Grade Twelve School Certificate or GCE with at least 5 Credits including English, Mathematics and a Science subject.
(iii) JUNIOR SECONDARY SCHOOL TEACHING
A FULL Grade Twelve School Certificate or GCE with at least 5 Credits including English and at least a merit in the teaching subject.
N.B. Applicants with Certificates not issued in Zambia need clearance from either the Qualifications Authority of Zambia or the Examinations Council of Zambia.
Applicants should present themselves for interviews at he colleges with the following documents:
- Original and two photocopies of the National Registration Card (NRC).
- Original and two photocopies of Grade Twelve (12)/GCE Certificate(s) or Statement(s) of Results,
Interviews will be conducted from 08:00 to 17:00 hours on each of the four days. Applicants are advised that accommodation will not be provided. Applicants are required to pay a non-refundable fee of One Hundred and Fifty Kwacha (K 150) only.
C. DISABLED APPLICANTS
i) Disabled applicants should report for interviews al Colleges nearest to their homes.
ii) Disabled applicants can choose to apply to the following colleges:
- The Visually Impaired – Malcolm Moffat, Mansa, Mongu and Chipata Colleges of Education.
- The Hearing Impaired— Kitwe College of Education, Solwezi College of Educction.
D. SELECTION
ONLY applicants who meet the minimurn entry requirements are eligible for selection. However, candidates will compete for available places in college.
E. PRIVATE COLLEGES
Candidates who opt to train in Private Colleges should verify the registration of such institutions with the Teaching Council of Zambia, or the District Education Office, or the Provincial Education Office or nearby Public Colleges of Education.
The minimum entry requirements into public and private colleges are the same for all teacher training programmes as outlined above, that is, 5 Credits or better (Merits or Distinctions) including English and Mathematics.
