1. Position:Â Contracts Manager
Role: Team leader of the Contractor for this Contract
Qualification: Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or equivalent, who is a “Registered Engineer” with the relevant authority.
Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in project and Contract management and team leadership roles related to managing road and bridge construction, Rehabilitation and/or maintenance projects preferably have experiences in Design-Build-Operate-Maintain-Transfer (DBOMT) or, Design-Build- Operate-Transfer or Performance-Based Management and Maintenance of Road (PMMR) from of contract, of which at least two years are on managing the implementation of Performance-based contracts.
2. Quality Control Engineer
Role: In charge of managing the sampling, testing, designing and reporting of all required material and construction quality tests for the Contractor. Also responsible for managing the Conformance Management Unit and the development/management of the Contractor’s Quality Control systems.
Qualification: B.Sc. in Civil Engineering, who is a “Registered Engineer” with the relevant authority.
Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in managing a materials laboratory, certifying materials testing and pavement construction materials, of which at least two years are on managing the implementation of Performance-based contracts. Also experience in developing and managing the required quality outcomes and Service Levels are achieved is essential.
3. Road Manager (Construction and Maintenance)
Role: In charge of managing the construction and maintenance activities, to deliver the required outputs for Rehabilitation, Periodic Maintenance/ re-gravelling, Improvement Works, network management (Routine maintenance) and Emergency Works as per approved design and specifications. Also responsible for planning, implementation and reporting of Network Performance activities being executed as per desired requirements / specifications.
Qualification: Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, who is a “Registered Engineer” with the relevant authority.
Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience for B.Sc., in managing the on-site road construction works, of which at least two years are on managing the implementation of Performance-based contracts. This experience must include the effective and efficient management of road construction and Periodic Maintenance re-gravelling crews, work zone safety management during construction, the production and delivery of required materials and the delivery of the required construction quality outcomes. This includes the effective handover of road sections post construction to the maintenance personnel.
4. Road Maintenance Engineer
Role: In charge of delivering the outcomes from Network Performance (Routine Maintenance) and Periodic maintenance Works
Qualification: Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, who is a “Registered Engineer” with the relevant authority.
Experience: Minimum 10years of experience for B.Sc., in managing the on-site maintenance activities on road works. This experience must include the effective and efficient management of road maintenance works and also experience in developing and managing auditing processes to ensure the required quality outcomes and Service Levels are achieved is essential. This includes the integration of road sections post construction into the maintenance programme and the management/ coordination of Emergency Works and Incident Response.
5. Workshop Foreman
Role: In charge of the on-site mechanical workshop and all machinery.
Qualification: Relevant certificates and/or Diploma
Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in managing heavy duty equipment on a mining or construction site.
