Job Description

To provide leadership and management for a multi-site Discovery Program in Zambia.

• • Technical planning and oversight of drilling, geochemical, geophysical and other field programs in Zambia
  • Monitor and assess QA/QC of the various work flows to ensure best quality data is obtained
  • Regular, ongoing communication with both site and office based senior staff to ensure a coordinated operational effort
  •  Site supervision on a day to day to month to month basis
  •  Integration and interpretation of the different data sets collected
  •  Regular reporting of activities and outcomes.
  •  Mentoring and training of geologists
  •  Manage site specific budgets and rosters
  •  Provide SHEC leadership

Qualifications

Formal Qualifications:

• Minimum requirement MSc in Geology
• Desirable – PhD
• Desirable – Membership of AIG or similar professional body (i.e., may act as a Competent Person for reporting purposes)

Role-specific knowledge:

• Knowledge of sediment-hosted copper mineralization
• Knowledge and experience of latest geochemical and geophysical exploration techniques
• Knowledge of ArcGIS, ioGAS and 3D geological modelling packages essential
• Knowledge of the geology of Zambia is desirable
• Strong structural geology skills are desirable
• Familiarity with Mineral Systems concepts

Experience:

• A minimum of ten years exploration experience
• A minimum of three years in a field leadership role
• African based field experience beneficial
