Lusaka International Community School, (LICS), is a leading independent Pre-Primary, Primary and Secondary School based in the leafy suburb of Roma in Lusaka, Zambia.
LICS is a member of CIS, AISA and ISAZ and is the largest international school in the region.

We seek to appoint a Secondary Vice Principal (Pastoral) with effect 1 August 2020.

Requirements:
- Possess a minimum of Bachelor’s degree, with a proven track record of either Middle or Senior Secondary Leadership.
- Experience in leading robust systems of child protection and safeguarding of young people.
- Be passionate about learner wellbeing; poses experience in leading and developing wholeschool pastoral systems.
- Experience in developing systems of support for the social and emotional development of secondary learners, through services, systems and curriculum programmes.
- Experience in leading and developing positive conduct policies and procedures.
- Experience in leading and developing an effective house system
- Able to communicate what excellent pastoral care is and enthuse teachers about our practice.
- Clear and empathetic communication skills.
- Able to develop effective systems that are understood and supported by all stakeholders.
- Be able to produce an up to date DBS and/or police clearance certificate.
- The gravitas to inspire confidence and respect in learners, parents and staff, Registration with a Teachers’ Accreditation / Registration Body.
- Be a dynamlc, driven person with a desire for educational excellence.
- Be willing to be part of a successful team at a school with a well-established academic record.
